I grew up with a Cocker Spaniel named Shorty. He was our very first dog and our pride and joy. He was as spoiled as can be, and very smart. His favorite activity was taking the cap off water bottles. Yes, you read that right. He would also open cabinets and unlock doors. It was quite the fun with him. However, with old age, he got diagnosed with a common issue for his breed- congestive heart failure, and multiple ear infections, along with Cushing's disease. Medicine couldn't help anymore. He went deaf, but never lost his spark. He responded well to hand signals, and extra gentle care. When we had the opportunity to finally travel after years of COVID isolation, we got stuck. We didn't know who to trust or call, or who would follow the extensive list of instructions, medications, and care that Shorty required. Unfortunately, we made the wrong call with a sitter that was not experienced, or reliable, and we came back to multiple accidents that Shorty would not fully recover from. We spent months re-doing potty training that was never an issue before, and it broke our hearts to see him struggle. Had we known about professional pet care- we would've never used anyone else. Now, I carry the values of caring for every pet like our own at Buddy Pet Care, and I train every single team member on what it truly means to be trusted with any of our client's fur babies. We dedicate ourselves to maintaining your pet's routine and having them feel as comfortable as possible- even when you're gone. For Shorty and every other pet with special needs, along with their owners, trying to do the best for them: We understand, and we're here for you.
